    Coiltek 11" mono elite

I use a 5000 and can run the machine in near enough factory presets with no real issues, the only major change would be running the audio in quiet, that settles it down a lot with no loss of signal on the smaller pieces as well as still getting good depth. I do however run the target volume at...

    Coiltek 11" mono elite

I have had no problems with the 12" Evo in some very mineralised ground and in high heat (around 32 last Saturday). You do have to play with the settings though to get the threshold nice and smooth... It will still pick up hot rocks but once you get your ear in and get used to the sounds you can...

WA Western Australia Information and Questions

Darren from Gold & Relics comes highly recommended :) Also, Mark & Rhonda at Gold Prospecting Australia have a good reputation. Based on personal experience, one to avoid would be C.G.S. Steer clear of him..... Cheers

Which small mono for small shallow gold & GPX4500?

I personally found that the Coiltek 6" was far to prone to falsing when getting knocked going through scrubby ground. The 8" Commander is a great coil and likewise the Sadie, i have both but tend to favour the 8". Just to throw something else into the mix, i also have the NF 12x7 like Chuky Boy...

    87 Ounce Nugget found Victoria

CGS had nothing to do with this find, they are just using the photo's to promote their tours (Misleading).... This was pointed out to them and they have since posted some more pictures stating it was not found on one of their tours... Having actually done one of their "Tours" i would NOT...

My best find so far :)

Went out at the weekend and within 2 hours got this one ! By far my best one so far at 36g. Looks like it may not be far from the source so i got my work cut out for a while .....

How long till your first (nugget).

Took me about 6 months to find the first one (using a GPX5000). After that i found a few more.... The key is research and thinking "outside the box". There is a lot to learn about reading the ground and terrain. I am by no means an expert though and if you can find a tour that can teach you...

    Garrett ATX vs Minelab GPX5000

This test is very flawed.... Would need to know how the GPX was set up..... I have pinged sub-gram nuggets at 4" deep with a very clear signal... Also when he was swinging the GPX over the target he was to quick to say "not a peep", "not a peep" when i could here it detecting the nugget..... he...
