Thanks mate, I'll always go out of my way to help someone and in this case she was local, was also a good excuse to get me into the water.

Her crying was enough for me to see how much it meant to get this ring back, if was part of a set of 3.

Well one good turn, turns into another.. Having seen the ring recovery post on another group some young men wondered if I could find a lost cross.. A few PM's saw a very happy young man reunited with a gift from his late grandfather.
There's one more ring that needs to be recovered close to me, if the ones looking for it have no luck I'll be going out tomorrow morning to try find it.
Until next time happy detecting
Cheers Gda

Went out for a look this morning to try recover another ring, got bashed around by the waves so will try again when it's low tide and flat.. Managed to get some goodies for my time there. Also last nights quick swing to see what was around..
Superlow night tides at the moment so I may go for a late swing to see what treasures are out there.
Until next time happy detecting

Well after 3 days of laying low because of a flu bug I finally got out for a swing.
Road tripped it to an old favourite and it didn't disappoint, trashy beach with lots of cuts, respectable amount of coins and a Gold Cross, hallmark is too small to see and my guess is either 10 or 14k.
Abraham came with me and together we walked over 12kms..
Beaches have moved alot of sand, my patches are calling out to me but the weather, wind and tides aren't playing fair at the moment.
Until next time happy detecting

I'm hanging for a swing, haven't been motivated due to soo many people around, hopefully all the tourists have deposited plenty of treasure.
Great hunt mate, inspiring.

Good day out on the spendables, the gold cross is an interesting find - do you it was handmade by someone?
Prospecting gear: Used - Whites GM3, GM2, GMT, ML XT17000, ML X-Terra 305, Garrett Gold Stinger, Tesoro Vaquero, Nokta RS pinpointer, Minelab Explorer SE Pro/Etrac, Ace 250
Current - XP Deus, Equinox 600, Makro Racer 2, Fisher F75, Tesoro Tejon, Teknetics G2, Whites SPP, Garrett Infinium, XP MI-6, Whites Bullseye TRX, Deteknix X-pointer, Garrett AT Pointer
Thats some serious $ there gda
Yes very respectable coinage, my goal was $40 after Abraham asked to count it before our next stop, it was $23 so $17+ came from another section of beach.

I'd say handmade, the top cross being gold soldered to bottom cross to give it that raised 3d effect with what looks like silver X.

Nice stuff Gda. It could be white gold rather than silver on top. It doesn't look like it came out tarnished.

Got out for a quick afternoon swing with the wife and 3 little ones, Abraham, Aaliyah and Angelica before coming home to cook a BBQ... Coin spill of $5.50 in the most unlikely spot on the beach and a few more coins to add to my tally. Last signal was a rattling tone and turned out to be a silver bracelet.
Stacy Pink a lady I've had the pleasure of knowing for the past 4 years sent me a gift for the ring recovery I did. 1 gram 999 silver bar and a prospectors shovel and pick pendant.
Heading out at Midnight for a water detect and to see if my old patch has some goodies for me.
Until next time happy detecting
Cheers Gda

The one thing I love alot is a low tide and a witching hour detect.
The weather was calm with a slight breeze to keep me cool whole I gridded the small section of beach where a channel opened up by one of my patches.
The deepest part was thigh high which was perfect for my first signal a 1951 Florin.
Next target was a Rams Head shilling and then small patches of coins all bunched together.
I got a couple of small silver pendant pieces and a lipstick with the residue of pink lippy inside after millions of years in the water. Lol
Very enjoyable morning with a few goodies to keep my addiction in check.
Maybe a week before I can get out again but I'll try to get out in the next few days.
Until next time happy detecting
Cheers Gda
