Damn the beaches are clean since lockdown! This was a scratchy 2-10 signal that I usually wouldn't dig but gave it a go since I hadn't had a signal of any kind for a while. Glad I did!

Think it was just a 2 strand one. Maybe more twine than rope!

Couple of bits and pieces from a 1930s farmhouse site. Was hard work as the house had been bulldozed and the trash was mixed up with everything, bit like if you threw a house in a blender!

Nice work, Dave. Just goes to show it's worth digging the scratchy signals sometimes.

That lock did clean up nicely, is the silver item a fob watch or sovereign holder, looks quite small. thumbsup

I reckon it was a small pocket watch, maybe a ladies one. Think it's too thin to be a sovereign holder.

Reckon I'll end up at 'gimpaccesories.com' It doesn't sound like a toy I'd like to play with!

Nice buckle btw Dave...... they must have a strong cricket history in Tassie, they punch above their weight in the Shield and National participation .
I’m yet to score a cricket buckle here in SA, one on my bucket list.
Cheers.

Yikes, that cricket buckle does sound a bit painful, though a great find! thumbsup

A few more little bits the old timers missed. 2 with the nox and the rest with the SDC. There's a big reef mine just up the hill from these shallow diggings so I reckon they traced it to the source and did quite well.

I like the look on her face, it looks like she's thinking 'you missed a bit dumkopf!'
