Forgive my lack of intelligence, were they in circulation ? , Ive never seen them... but in my defence I use my keycard to pay , carrying cash is almost a thing of the past , except for what the 705 sniffs out !
I pull them just like that.... straight out of circulation (not the ratty ones though... you just gotta let them keep travelling) :D

A guy came into the shop using these to buy stuff. Guess he found a stash or something. Anyway he said he was going all around town using these old notes. I switched 3 new 20's so i could keep these.
I looked up the signatures and there only 1993 by the looks of it.
Still cool to see and i forgot how yhey feel in your hand

I was in a shop today and the dealer was selling them for $50 each so that's not bad

Went through the spare change in the car today and found a fairly worn $2 coin that has something wrong with it. I'm thinking double struck with a pretty small offset? Only just started looking for error coins in my stuff so haven't seen a lot. It's quite different to the better struck $2 in the pile, you can see the rim offset in the first photo. It's interesting how it's gone a bit 'blobby' with the first strike, like around the S, and the straight right-pointing leaf tips on the grass tree are wierd too. Shame it's so worn.

I have a full set of 50 cent pieces from 1966 to 2000 in Proof and another set in Brilliant UNC whilst great to collect they will take along time to be worth anything.
The big money is in graded coins or pre-decimal. Gave up on collecting the decimal coins because the big coin dealers have massive amounts in stock.

I've got hundreds of pennies, halfpennies, sixpences and shillings going back to the start of the last century, but dealers seem to have lots of them as well. Only those in near-mint condition seem to have any value at all (excepting the odd rarity).

In that area most probably some old Opel miner had them stored away and made a deal.
