Made mine out of a plastic drain grate - different manufacturer than "Reeks" model. ( Flat inside bottom)
I cut the top edges off the side walls and a couple of inches off each end to create the channel.
I put a short timber handle at one end for carrying and also hold down the galvanised funnel. ( I folded the myself)
Then I fitted an aluminium plate to lock in the funnel.
I used a small ribbed rubber mat for the base to catch the fine gold. No baffles or mesh used.
To direct the water down onto the ribbed rubber mat I clamped a section of rubber strip to lay on top.
I am after the small gold that others may lose.
Hope this offers some help to others.
regards, Ned

Yes BeagleBoy, it does a good job. Just a matter of controlling the water flow. This depends on the angle of drop plus speed of water. Using it without the funnel will slow the flow.
