Well I got out Monday night for a quick swing and I knew because of the beach cleaner and the amount of rubbish on the beach there wouldn't have been much and I was correct, I did however manage to get a ring, only a junker but I'll take it.
Last night I got out for another swing, the weather here was scorching so I was sure my luck would change, the amount of rubbish on the beach was a disgrace but I did the best I could and pulled shiteloads of rubbish and other stuff out of the water and put it up by the dunes where the cleaner could get to it.
Good thing is the amount of towels I have saved and brought home, we can never have too many and I was thinking I could donate them to the op shop or something like that. smile
Had a good night and I was hoping to get a ring but ended up getting two and one of them 9ct gold....Woop woop the drought is finally over....Both rings were very scratchy signals and both were an 8 TID.....
First two pics from Monday, second two from last night.

I can't believe the things people leave behind, two little tents still down there and an inflatable boat which I pulled out of the water.... Cheers Sandta mate. smile

Kind of had me thinking for a bit and when I looked under the loupe nothing, and then right on the inside bottom I saw the 9ct which means the little tone may be a tiny tiny diamond. smile Cheers mate. smile thumbsup

Well the heavens opened up this afternoon and I knew eventually it would stop....Stop it did around 7 pm with just a little sprinkle here and there.
I went to the beach knowing the cleaner had been and it did a good job, nothing but 5c 10c 20c....So I hit the wet sand and boom $2 then another....
It soon dried up and I had to think of somewhere else to swing and so into the water I go with my 10" DD Round coil which is not waterproof....
It's a shame because it is perfect and not even a whimper, just silent until it runs over a target, I loved being in the water and I loved finding more Goldies....
Before leaving I kept swinging all the way up to the steps and hit on a nice crisp 38 signal and I knew it was Silver.....Pandora is back on the menu...

Hi gda, well done great hunt.
I enjoy reading your posts. I'm a newbie & am still learning how to use the Xterra 705 & can say I am totally addicted.
With the coil you say you used in the water was that the 10.5" dd coil?
Cheers tony.
