Hi everyone. Newbie here. I have just spent 3 weeks travelling around the South Island of New Zealand. I'm a female & decided to dabble in gold panning over there. Saw some amazing rivers & played around in a few, not having a clue if I was panning right. Never found any gold but absolutely loved the experience. The rivers are crystal clear & the bush is so beautiful. AND the best part of all NO SNAKES....As an expat kiwi I am terrified of them.
So back to Brisbane I have come, gold pan in hand....Yes, I'm hooked...
I want to go up to Gympie & have a play around soon when the weather cools down a bit. I don't own a four wheel drive so I'm limited as to where I can go. Can anyone help me out here & recommend somewhere that's not too far off the beaten track.
Pleased to meet y'all,...
