New CTX 3030 arrived yesterday along with a detenix digger and Pro Find 25 so figured I'd have a bit of a hunt around the caravan park today to try it out. Scored 7c... a 1977 2c and a 2011 5c... lots of ringpulls, brass eyelets, bottle tops, a dog lead catch and a pop rivet. All this in a 3m2 area in front of the office and the 3030 was going off on heaps of other targets, I dug a few to find it was foil and Disprin wrappings.

Lots to learn on this new machine but loads of fun.

Congrats on the purchase. The CTX takes a while to learn but it's worth it. Once you learn what it's saying you'll dig a lot less junk if you don't feel like digging everything. One thing I'd suggest though is finding a less cluttered area to get the hang of it, also find a spot with no metal in the ground and practice on some known targets as well like $1 and $2 coins any pre-decimal coins you have also are great practice targets just to get a feel for them.
