This is a 100x50mm PVC down pipe sluice, electric pump and river. It's very light and effective so far in my tests. I'm using black rubber matting and I made some riffles out
Of PVC pipe that just push in and can be turned to give more angle.
The pump is a 700 gph and the battery is a small 7amp sealed lead acid.

Very interesting concept! I can't quite see how the riffles work but I can imagine its super light and perfect for recirculation

Hi guys, an update on down pipe sluice.
Iv Been screening the material from crevices with the 1/4 inch screen before running in though and find it does not clog up. Of course you have to feed it at a steady rate, which is a lot easer than panning.
I found that after 3 buckets the riffles are full of black sand and it needs to be tailed out for the rough gold in the gully I'm working floats on the sand when panning!
The battery has gone flat after some work and I think it needs replacing for its years old and would be the heaviest item to be carried. I think I would go up to an 11amp one.
