Went for a paddle on Wednesday up Mitta way, was very pleasant in the creek, tried my V mat in the Mini Sluice; worked a treat and caught about 85 - 90 % of the colour, the rest in the top of the riffle and 5 specs in the bottom of the riffle. Weighed in at 0.14 g; for about 3 hours; about 1/3 - 1/2 m3 processed. Dig a shovel full, sit and sort in sive; very lay backed.

I was up in Omeo on labour day, at a nice little spot we've been working before. This time it really paid off. First time using the bucket sieve up there, so we were able to move a fair amount of dirt. The biggest chunk was 0.45 gram and I found it while I was digging and I looked up to my right hand side on a rock by the side of the creek, and noticed something yellow shining back at me. There it was, just sitting on a rock waiting for me to pick it up! Can't believe my luck. :D

All up 1.25 grams for a 6 hour day with my river sluice. By far the best I have achieved so far.

Well done mate.
