An associate has advised i'd be better to leave the edge alone, and reshape the spine down to the point, sounds a better option to me?

And here's the Gutinator..

Same styling for sure...mines about 35 yr old...has Schrade+ on blade, with USA LB7 underneath, no markings on the blade, and mine has no rivet or hole at the 'release' end.

Also have Ser.#...AAxxxxx

Hi 7.62,
The knife certainly holds a good edge, I was present from start to finish while the knife was made; filmed its build for a review article, seeing how a Damascus multi layered blade is formed is quite interesting, hot work though. The knife was made by Jeff Peck, a very skilled and clever fellow.
Cheers, SinHof.
PS: A link to Jeff's website for anyone interested.
