I have some small graphite crucibles and ingot molds to consolodate all my fine gold in.

To apply heat to my borax and gold, would something like this do? Or is there something else more suited?

Just be careful hitting the mix with the torch too hard and blowing gold all over your shed floor lol
A mate recently dropped his brass nozzle into his crucible too and it grabbed all his gold!

They do make a larger jet/nozzle size.
Usually has to be ordered in but.
The temp is exactly the same, but more volume of heat.
Same with lpg etc.
Map gas burns at a certain temp.
But volume changes a lot.

From memory map gas burns at 1938C, different torch heads will give you different flame types and different BTU output, the higher the BTUs the quicker you will melt your gold.
Not sure if the old part numbers are still the same but an 8000 series torch head with a swirl flame used to be the highest BTUs from memory.
That was in the Bernzomatic range.
