On the local news today

There was a news item about the army having a display at rockhampton for the school kids. Anyways there were a couple of kids swinging detectors and they looked like Garrett ATX machines but they were completely black from top to bottom not green, anyone else see that.

I've seen the Minelab F3 in both black and green, so most definitely the F3.

Really did look like a black ATX, but I only got a glance. I will see if I can find the story online.

There are a couple of versions of the F3, one has a fixed handle like the ATX and a battery pack like on the CTX -it is known simply as the F3, whereas the other has the collapsible handle and folds up, that one is the F3 Compact, of which the SDC is based off.
