Hey folk's...Just starting out at this caper,actually don't even have a detector yet but been out a few times with a fella to show me what it's all about...I am thinking of the GPX 5000 but they sure are expensive..I am on the South coast of NSW so plenty of places to explore...

Welcome to the forum Sparra. You're in a great neck of the woods with many goldfields close bye. If you're able to stretch the budget somewhere between the new Garrett ATX and the GPX5000 then you will be giving yourself the upper hand in finding those elusive local nuggets.
