We have been travelling Oz for a few years. Last year we started doing the opal hunt in NSW & QLD. This year we are on the Gold hunt and gems 
. We travelled through NSW a bit of hit and miss but still lots to learn. Best outcomes have been up near Jackadgery, Trunkey and currently on Reedy Creek VIC.
We are planning on heading down to the Golden Triangle in VIC soon then make our way across to WA.
Would love to hear from any of you in the know on some general areas of interest we shouldn't miss. As you have read we are just looking for areas for short term so definitely not looking to clean your good spots out. We mainly pan and have a river sluice.
