Me and my girlfriend really want to learn how to use a metal detector, so i wanted to ask if someone knows good gold detecting tours for beginners in victoria.

Or maybe some of you can show us how it works.

I recently purchased a 5000 from Coiltek in Maryborough. It included a days training, however...
They also do training courses and you can hire the detector/s from them. I found the training well structured, informative and good fun. There are also other tours run out of Dunolly and Bendigo.

Google gold courses or tours Victoria, they will all most likely come up, but be aware some are in my opinion unessecarily expensive.

Goldsearch Dunolly have a MXT All Pro package ATM it has everything you need but a scoop/plastic cup and digging tools I'd suggest buying one and share the digging if you enjoy yourself save up for a minelab or garrett ATX so you have one each.
The MXT can hunt coins/relics & gold nuggets if you get one let us all know and we could organise meeting for a detector day/BBQ.

I booked a tour with the guys at Coiltek Maryborough, I had Wolfgan for a guide, he is awesome, if there is gold there, Wolfgan will help you find it, he will also teach you how to fine tune your detector.

Have heard some good things about Paul (Stoppsy). Based at St Arnaud & specialises in one on one type training on GPX detectors. Got a good ear & can teach ya to listen for the littlies. Check out his youtube vids.
