Just got back from Coffs Harbour

To have a caravan window resealed...as in taken out , cleaned up and put back in $150 each window :D

They told me that they can tell me if the other two windows need doing or not ...

To replace the stone guard with checker plate is around the $850 ...

Plus to reseal a couple of spot's and to replace the small section of wood panelling...

They also said it might be a big extra if the wood frame is damaged

How is this for service...they told me then I take the caravan up in the morning and pick it up the next day

But I can not get the caravan out because the back yard is flooded

Would get bogged even if I tried to get it out :(

Sorry about the crusty paint.
Done by the original owner

Se if you can pick the seam where I re sealed it.
The whole frame including the window was removed.

The slip on shoes broke while I was trying to put up the tarp and started to floot away

Did not want to get my good boots wet

So ended up with nothing on my feet :D

LOL,
The previous owners tryed to tart the van up by painting the alluminium window frames with the wrong paint.
It will be claend off and redone with proper paint.
The way it should have been done. :Y: :Y:

Thats it Simmo.

The outer part of the bed of sealer is where the manufacturer taped
it off.
The window frames were glued in with a different sealer that went hard.
Most important not to disturb the original bed.

When I dropped the windows back in,
The suction was incredible.

Even at that point, It would have been quite a job to pull them back out.

Just don't glue them in upside down. O:) O:)

Got my caravan back yesterday woohoo

Had to have a lot of work done on it

Reslead all trims

Plus they replaced the outside top light and fixed a couple of other small items for me

Then phone me to say that they have to resleal part of the caravan roof ....so had that done as well ..

Only had the roof replaced just before I went on my last trip so was not to happy about that..

I feel it is a job well done :Y:

Had a read of this thread and just to make you feel a bit better, my house roof leaks. Not alot, but had a ceiling water stain recently after 50mm rain the otheweek.

It's only a water leak which once found won't happen again.

I certainly won't be selling my house cause of a water leak! Fix the leak, job done!!

Same thing happened to my cottage over Xmas time..

Just a couple of water spots on the ceiling

I will fix it next couple of days
