No the 5km limit is for Metropolitan Melbourne. Back four weeks ago when we came under the new stage three restrictions the government site that I referred to had a number of questions and answers relating to outdoor recreation. There was no specific distance stated. But if in pursing your chosen recreation you needed to leave your local area i.e. shire then the answer was No. An example would be if you lived in Altona you could not travel all the way across Melbourne to play golf at Sorrento, or into the Dandenongs to go horse riding. Both cases involved what was considered excessive, unnecessary travel. Redfin I would print off the other document as well because PMAV don't make the rules and you need to be prepared for the scenario of being stopped and questioned. If you can demonstrate politely that you are well informed and doing the right thing and you are only interested in doing the right thing then you will be okay. As you would have seen on television these silly people who aggressively and wrongly try to assert their rights get fined and escorted off the street. Cheers Bob.
