Grew up in PNG , on a trip to the highlands with my father we were waiting in line at a bank , A family of locals walked in one of the young boy plonked a hesh bag on the counter (separate section of bank) a women emptied the bag full of golf ball size nuggets into a tray then reached under the counter for scales . Money changed hands and they all walked across the road and bought a new Toyota Land Cruiser . We found out they had broken down in their last one (2 years old) and just left it on the road (no water in radiator leak in hose ) there is a lot of gold up there but we were broken into 13 times in 10 years and we left because on neibour was stabbed in the heart during a break in . Then of course theres the WILDLIFE! Everything wants to kill you even the plants . Crazy town !
