I just bought my very first metal detector a Fisher F22 and went out for a scout around at a local beach.
I managed to find some loose change but I also found bottle caps, cans, ring pulls etc.
What I'm wondering is whether or not anyone has managed to dial down their settings to the point where these insignificant targets are ignored?

I have never used a Fisher F22 but if any one can tell you how to how to set it up so you dont get trash at the beach / parks that will great too know .
I had a quick swing this afternoon just to try some diffren5 settings and had a great singnal load and sharp this should be good :D turned out to be a big bit aluminium

So I'm under the impression the best thing to do is to wave items over the detector eg. 1$ 2$ coins etc. take note of what their readings are and pay attention to those and ignore the rest?
