Hi, it's sad the number of businesses closing, and with them the loss of jobs. I think it is probable many small rural towns are going to turn into ghost towns as well. The economy and businesses closing have a domino effect. The GFC destroyed me, and It was hard times, but what I believe is coming will leave that in the shade. The harder things get, the more worried people become, and they want to hang on to their money -- just in case. A vicious circle. I cut back as much as possible: no-one in my immediate family buys each other gifts anymore, we are all adults, by the way, otherwise, we would buy for kids, we have a big family day with drink and food and we talk and laugh. We are keeping the money close and not buying much meat as it has become expensive to us, and I've been told cosmetics are getting expensive too, electricity and fuel are being restricted with the Sunday drive to get out of the house is only a memory now. I think it strange that shop closed down as when times get tough I believe people gamble more in the hope, and getting into prospecting would be another way to bring home some money. Just my thinking. Anyway, that shop has people who are where now? On the dole? Merry Christmas all, and I hope everyone has health and happiness and a great 2020, cheers.
