Can anyone assist with house rental in Ballarat?

My son & his fiancee have been trying to get into a Ballarat house rental without luck. Living in Melbourne means it is difficult for them to get to all inspections & they do not appear to be prioritised or taken seriously, despite having visited almost all of the Ballarat Realtors.

They are expecting a baby in early June & want to get settled before then, and are committed to spending their lives in Ballarat to raise their family. Both of them have saved quite a lot of money but are not ready to buy a house.

Does anyone have any contacts or know of a house for rent? Looking for 3 bedrooms with 1 or 2 bathrooms; larger will be ok.

Hope they find a place mate.
Unfortunately there's a housing crisis in most, if not all states of Australia.
There's at least 15/20 people applying for every vacant rental house as soon as they appear. There are thousands of hard working people with nowhere to live in Qld.
Alot have been priced out of the rental market by ridiculous rent increases, so cars ,tents ,and if you are very lucky family members houses are where they are staying.
How much further will house prices rise before something breaks.

Thanks SB. You are right, literally a stack of people wanting country housing & demand exceeds supply, hence my post here hoping for a possible link.

Just spoke to a mate of mine who's sister is a real estate agent in Melb and he suggested that they contact their current real estate agent whom should have contacts in the area they want to move to. Sorry not much help.

Try the local Facebook page under Ballarat noticeboard, it's a great way to buy and sell local as well as locals talking about accommodation and rentals
