[QUOTE="aussiemd, post: 484167, member: 14772"] While driving around on a dirt road near old mine workings, I noticed piles of rubble out on crown land. Stopped for a quick look with the detector and soon realised I had found an area of old miners houses, since bulldozed. I have so far picked up 3 cricket belt buckles, 3 dog rego tags and twenty odd British coins including 1 george 3rd halfpenny 1806 or 07. One of my best finds though was from yesterday while walking back to the car and casually swinging the Nox around. A very loud 27 which I assumed was trash but turned out to be something unique. An old gunpowder flask in pretty good condition.
