How am I Sluicing Wrong? - Vid Inside!

Mate, this thing looks AWESOME. I was talking to my mate last night saying I wish you would make a backpacking sluice, and here it is! I reckon I will be picking one of these up. More affordable for somebody like me too. Also really appreciate the tips and the offer of support for the 12...

How am I Sluicing Wrong? - Vid Inside!

Ok thanks so much guys. So main things learned so far are that the discharge end needs to be out of the water and I need more of an angle. I think I need a physics lesson as to why keeping the sluice out the water more helps the flow but happy to take your word on it! Maybe Anderson's Creek...

How am I Sluicing Wrong? - Vid Inside!

Hi all, Using my boss's sluice as he keeps it at my place. Don't seem to be having much luck though, she seems to keep clogging up! I've watched a few videos on setting up a sluice but obviously doing something wrong, do I really need so much water for the sluice to work effectively? Is it...

Thanks mate, I never knew there was a reactor here, everyday's a school day! I love me a riddle so hope you like it too! Wrote this the other day: From Northern England I did hail, On good water was my trail. My last moments filled with storm and strife, More famous in death than I was in life.

    Geovic information and questions

This is a really good guide, thanks for sharing. I don't want to teach you guys how to suck eggs cause you obviously know lots about prospecting but I found it really frustrating how the coordinates at a set point can't be "frozen" so you can copy them into your clipboard. So what I do is get...

First 2 Days Prospecting Anderson's Creek - No Gold!

Thanks all, appreciate the advice. I have been concentrating in the creek bed, not making a mess. Shopping list for this weekend is a set of waders and a book about gold to the east of VIC. I am gonna head to BCF and Miner's Den, have heard a lot of good things about the latter. : )

First 2 Days Prospecting Anderson's Creek - No Gold!

G'day all. Thanks for all the advice so far. Took a look out at Long Gully today but it's not flowing. At least in the places I looked anyway! :( I had a quick pan at Anderson's Creek and tried to put into practice what the videos above taught, but no joy. Is anyone heading out this...

First 2 Days Prospecting Anderson's Creek - No Gold!

This is exactly what I'm after mate, thanks so much. Going to stick at panning for a few months and see if I've still got the bug then will look at getting a sluice. One of these classifiers looks great though, would make my life a lot easier and my back would definitely thank me!
