    Steelpat did not say ANYTHING about him believing that JP not have a current model machine. He is saying that the user GOLDAU, on another forum, who did a "Review of JP's review" has obviously not based his 10 years experience, and subsequent rebuttals of JP's review, on a current model...

    I read that too - the user I saw post it is a serial forum groupie-cum-pest who has questionable knowledge (just seems to parrot stuff off other forums, as well as reciting manufacturer specs) and who is now known as a gossip monger who deals in imaginings and fantasy, and who has been moved on...

    I'm guessing that this is probably Minelab's response to the fairly recent VLF gold machines from Nokta, Makro and probably Fisher...More for the African market, as written above... But might be popular here as well, going by the popularity of the Makro Gold Racer.

    Go to the Minelab.com website. Choose a gold detector to look at (eg. SDC 2300), then select "Compare" and then choose the Gold Monster 1000. This will bring up the specs of the Gold Monster 1000. 45 kHz VLF
