Thanks Grubstake.... you wouldn't happen to know of any more specific details about this button ? And it is a great button on the reverse Aussiefarmer, but rather plain on the front

First coin at the beach with the sdc

Thanks guys Will do a full weekend there again then. Here's what the date looks like with a close up on the phone camera. If there's a next time, what's the best way to preserve a cooper coin found on the beach ?

First coin at the beach with the sdc

Tried the sdc for the first time at the beach and was thrilled to find 2 pre-decimal coins within 2 hrs. First one was a 19?0 King George V penny (1911-1936). Had to wait until I got home to ascertain whether it was a 2 or 3 with a magnifying glass. Now 80% sure it's a 2 :( Second coin was I...

    My First Nugget

Good on yu Luke! It would've been even more exciting after all the junk. Have also found heaps of brass buttons, 3 types actually. And a tiny pinchable nugget from panning my first bucket of sand I brought home a week ago.

    My First Nugget

Thanks guys It certainly pays to re-check after digging out your last target. And yes Silver they do make a nice couple, hence my avatar.

    My First Nugget

Well....... what can I say. :) Only half an hour into 'learning' how to use the SDC2300, I found these two close together. First came the stainless steel washer and then further into the crevice was the 0.4 grammer.

    Best SDC 2300 Bundle

Not sure what you mean DeatKiss. But I bought my sdc a few weeks earlier with a slightly different bundle, and am still happy enough to give them a plug. WITHOUT ANY REQUESTS OR TIES TO CWP.

    Best SDC 2300 Bundle

Definitely can't beat this bundle being offered by Lucinda at Central West Prospecting in Mudgee, https://www.cwpsupplies.com.au/product/minelab-sdc-2300/ No affiliation with this business, just a very happy customer. Their service with hours of advice (from all on the floor) for a newbie is...

    Minelab GPZ7000 information and questions

As Mbasko hinted at earlier..... training in the early days will eventually pay off. Even if it takes some time to reap in the expense it is nice to know that you and the machine are doing all that can be done! And in turn feel confident that you haven't wasted your time. But hey... time spent...

    Minelab GPZ7000 information and questions

Hey Scotty, uhmm ....... you're not short on weekend choices then. And do you ever get your hobbies confused and throw back all the undersized ones? ;) What area are you from and which of your detectors do you grab first?

    Minelab GPZ7000 information and questions

Thanks Mbasko for your time and frank advice, So ...... will now chase up a good SDC deal and post pone Z purchase closer to our desert highways adventure. Who knows, ML might drop the Z price and/or better still have incorporated Fe discrimination by then.

    Minelab GPZ7000 information and questions

Thanks Mbasko, Holding a trade and engineering degree helps me learn a few things quicker, but unfortunately it also delays making a final decision because of weighing up a heap of factors. But your answer is certainly steering me towards the SDC. However, how would it go on the Len Beadell...

    Minelab GPZ7000 information and questions

Hey Mbasko, One question if I may, although the answer can be pretty long. You don't need to elaborate if you don't have the time. :) If you had a choice and also had the dosh..... which would you choose SDC or the Z for a newbie in the Blue Mountains and who travels/camps outback weeks and...

    Echo from the mountains

Hi Idigem or is it echo? was wondering how your Z is going in our neck of the woods?? Thinking about getting one or the 2300. Really like the portability of the 2300. Anyway .... would love to catch up some time and discuss all Z things , the good and the bad.

Hey .... from the Blue Mountains

Hey Joao, Glad to kick some dirt around with you next time you visit. And yes.... there are many things I'm grateful for. Being here is definitely one of them.

Hey .... from the Blue Mountains

Silver..... its like fishing; you don't need to catch any to enjoy the solitude and cherish the moment (no external influences only the present sorting out, what's hatching, lifting that rock and checking what nymphs are about, what's the water temperature, and so on..... you're in the zone to...

    Minelab GPZ7000 information and questions

Wonder if the price drop is to entice sales of the "old" Z stock considering they're developing a new one with Fe cancelling???
