If you do find 1 cent pieces ... Check the date ( if too corroded, then don't worry then ) ... 1968 1 cent pieces can be worth around $5. in average grade ( rarest 1 cent by mintage ) The 1968 2 cents are worth about half as much.

Going back to the coin depicted ... Most likely a 'Proclamation' coin of England. Which would have dated to around early 1800s to 1870 thereabouts. There were many foreign coins assigned a standard value in the pre-Federation States.

So, I've read various comments across the threads, but in summary, is the collective impression of the GPX 4500, that it's 'almost' as good as the 5000 .... To the point, that's there's not much benefit to be gained in the almost $2,000. price difference ??

Nup. In Sydney. There are two 5000s at $4,500. on ebay at the moment ... One has the 'zeros' in '5000' touching, the other has a slight space between the zeros. Which is which ? ( genuine has the space, I'm thinking ....)
