    Adelong, NSW information and questions

Never done any specking before, might give it a try, especially if the weather heats up again. Thanks for the advice.

    Adelong, NSW information and questions

Thanks Goldrocs, Think I'm going to leave the Highbanker at home this time and concentrate on crevicing and sluicing. The area around the old gold mill looks like a prime spot for a bit of crevicing.

Yeah its 90 deg to the flow of the water, thanks for your advice. I suppose the only thing to do now is go and dig it out etc.

Tuena and Tuena Creek NSW information and questions

I think I met them once...she had done a hell of an amount of digging in the middle of the creek, I was really surprised.

    Crevicing Question???

Hi all, Just wondering if some of you more experienced prospectors out there could give me a little advice. The other day I found a relatively 'unflogged' area of a river with a mixture of large rocks, exposed bedrock and gravel bars etc. I found this one really large piece of rock on the bank...

    oallen access blocked

So I gather it's still o.k. to run the High Banker at the usual spot where everybody goes next to the bridge etc? It would be a shame to lose Oallen Forde.

    Lachlan river failure

Went out to explore some new prospects today. I'd heard that gold had been found along the Lachlan river by the old timers. Went out to test at Newarra Bridge and at first glance it looked perfect. Lots of crevicing areas, lots of quartz and black sand and most importantly... Not one single hole...

Coffs Harbour NSW information and questions

Hi Just wondering if anybody has done any exploring and test panning on Nana creek near Coffs Harbour, seems there was a lot of gold found there in the old days.

    Flood gold information and questions

There was a flood warning issued for the Shoalhaven, but apparently the waters are receeding now...time to head out to Oallen i guess :)

    Flood gold information and questions

It's flooding down here in Goulburn at the moment, and I think its a similar story elsewhere in NSW as well. I hope everybody stays safe and the floods produce lots of new flood gold for us all!!!

    Advice Needed

Are there any places to have a sluice and pan near Goulburn besides Oallen and Tuena? I'm looking for ideas and any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Brindabella

Thanks for all the guys...Think I'll give the area a miss now. Back to the research again I suppose.

    Brindabella

Just wondering...have any of you guys done any exploring around Brindabella...if so were the results any good? I've been looking at google maps and I've been thinking about trying to do a little bit of panning and Sluicing at the bridge on the Brindabella Rd were it crosses over Goodradigbee...

    Small Cleanup Pump (Highly Recommended)

Nah Dozer...just the three D Cell batteries. I also don't think it would have enough water pressure to run a Bluebowl. I'm using it on a Mackirk Sidekick and it has just the perfect amount of water pressure for it.

    Prospecting 8 hour shift

Was out around Tuena a few weeks back and there was a couple that reckon they'd been working the creek for several weeks straight...don't know how they did though. I love to do the same but I don't think my wife would last 30min before she was begging me to take her back to the city.

    Small Cleanup Pump (Highly Recommended)

Hi At the moment I am presently using a Attwood Waterbuster pump on my recirculating cleanup sluice at home. I highly recommend it for anybody looking for a pump for their at home cleanup system. Besides the fact that it runs efficiently on just three D Cell batteries, its also cheap as...I got...

Pumps for a Highbanker - information and questions

I make the mistake of buying one of those generic Chinese pumps which ended up being a disaster. I then paid a little more for a Honda WX10 which suits my small Highbanker perfectly. I haven't had a problem with it yet...I wish I had have bought it in the first place.
