    Garrett Infinium LS For Sale

Thanks, Goldpick. I was wondering if anyone was even seeing this thread. You're right, it has been looked after. Sadly, it has never left my property though and just gets used occasionally for finding random bits of potential punctures in the driveway. I know that I'll regret when it is gone...

    Garrett Infinium LS For Sale

Price is now dropped. How's $1100 sound? Good price? Bad price? I'm wondering if I paid too much for this now, when I bought it from here a year ago. (for more) Any input at all? :( Not even an insultingly low lowball. 8.(

    1870 Canadian 25c - Unknown Obverse Type

So, probably how this sort of thing happens, then? I got the picture from here, http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=170459 from a guy with the exact same dilemma as myself, regarding this particular coin. The only reason I'd even heard of 'obverse 1' or 2 was from this...

    1870 Canadian 25c - Unknown Obverse Type

Here is a better image of the coin. (not my one). I see no difference in design between this and my coin but still don't know if obverse 1 or 2 is used. (I hope that doesn't sound as demanding as it felt, to type). :) I thought that I liked researching gold but now I feel a new obsession...

    1870 Canadian 25c - Unknown Obverse Type

Thanks, Goldpick. I found that site last night while I was obsessing, but that page refers to the fifty cent piece. They have an equivalent page on the twenty-five but no mention of the initials for it, with or without. I've not been able to find a twenty-five that mentions LCW but for the...

    1870 Canadian 25c - Unknown Obverse Type

Hi, everyone. I'm trying to find out if this coin is worth selling but cannot get a straight answer regarding the obverse type. I'm seeing graded coins just like it that each contradict the other, in regards to: Chin, Nose, Ribbon, 'C' being almost closed, 'I' pointing between denticles, etc...

    What have i found?

Maybe an old saddle? The small buckle looks like it would adjust a stirrup quite well. Notice the little knobby bit? Probably fits through the leather like a belt 'pin' does. ??

Sam Cash Loaming For Gold. Anyone Have A PDF Of It?

Thanks, Metamorphic. No need to trouble yourself if it isn't already a pdf. I just checked out Reeds and ordered a copy. Thanks again, for the offer. It's been a long time since I've read a book that didn't scroll.

Sam Cash Loaming For Gold. Anyone Have A PDF Of It?

Hi, everyone. Does anyone have a pdf of Loaming For Gold by Sam Cash? I've been looking everywhere and the only places that 'seem' to have it are spammy sites that want a credit card before even showing that they actually do have the book. I have a lot of books and research info myself, so...

    Inventions And Ideas

Has anyone ever used a clear bucket (say, like glass?) for looking under water with? Mount a torch, and fossick in the rivers. ..like when you do the dishes, and you can see clearly, the bottom of the sink through a casserole or glass bowl? I'll make a perspex one and see how it goes, in the...

    Inventions And Ideas

Not related to prospecting, but could maybe modify for camping, but suppose you build a house and instead of the roof pitch pointing to the sky, it is inverted, like a funnel and catches the rain. The 'funnel-roof' fills a big pipe which goes to the floor and you design your wet-areas around...

Recon Before The Actual Prospecting Trip?

He won't be there, he's just buying the equipment for me to use while he is FIFO, but will probably make an appearance when he gets back. I just want to be able to show that it is not just lucky people that find gold, but people who do the research and deliberately set up on top of the gold...

    CTX addiction

After doing a bunch of searching around for it, I found that even some of the cars used a similar handle even in the 50s, so unfortunately, I'm no closer to finding out what it is off, either. Maybe join a hotrod or a vintage car forum and ask the question. Those guys'd know, I reckon.

A carburettor? Good thinking, dwt! That would be really useful. You should invent an engine to stick under it. ..oops, I've said too much! ;) edited
