    2017 Beach Hunting Tips

Just looking to share some secrets and tips for beach hunting. I have generally been keeping up high, around the edges and entrances because when I stray anywhere else I tend not to find anything. I am yet to have a serious go trying in the water. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Ive...

    WTG 2017 finds

I've been down the South Coast over Christmas and New Years and in my spare time have been combing a couple of beaches. Nothing worth posting until this morning. Pretty happy with the three pence and the bullets were a nice addition. :)

Garrett AT Pro information and questions

Took the AT Pro up to Orange for food week last weekend as I was staying at a friends farm and they needed me to find some old wire that had pierced their tractor tyre. Learnt the general set up of the machine but didn't get an opportunity to take it for a spin around the gold fields up there...

    Digging tool information

Haha, I have been using this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261283251935?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT which cuts very clean and as well as durability and the metal pommel and grip are very comfortable. Only downside is that I have scratched a few objects and coins...

    Digging tool information

I was having a look at the reviews on the tools that just got shipped with my AT Pro that arrived today :D (Gator and Garrett tools) and found this video to be quite amusing as well as informative.. Wish one of them had been a Lesche, seems my knife might be cleaner but I have had a few funny...

    New to Gold Detecting

Thanks Cairnspom, that's all I was really wondering. I'll make sure to take a wheel burrow though I am not sure how good my International AT Pro will be with gold but it should be some fun regardless. Any time out in the bush is a good time :)

    New to Gold Detecting

Thanks guys, I am quite used to being in the bush as well as run ins with snakes and spiders so I have already taken that into consideration as well as water and gps if going in deep. I was wondering more along the lines of containers to hold gold, extra tools etc (I have a small pick but got...

    New to Gold Detecting

I have just been treasure hunting etc so far but was thinking of trying out some gold detecting in NSW. As there doesn't seem to be a sticky I was just wondering apart from the detector what the essentials would include in going for a gold detect as I imagine it would differ from searching...
