    Living the dream

As FilthyPhil asked. Interested to know what you do with the waste? Do you fill in the hole you dug 1.5 tonnes from?

    Eldorado Gold Concentrates

With all due respect AtomRat, he is advertising it, on here!!! I also see someone is selling the same type of thing on Fleabay. Someone from Albury. Ahh well you do what you do and take the consequences I say. So glad I am not in Vic. Too many lawbreakers down there.

    Eldorado Gold Concentrates

Removal and sale of gravel comes under the extractives industries regulations in Victoria. Illegal in a National Park, whether as a hobby or a commercial business.

    Eldorado Gold Concentrates

Is what you are doing legal under a Miners Right, and in a National Park? I think a "commercial" venture as you are now operating as, is illegal. Better check cos you don't want to get busted do you??? :o

Lake Eildon National Park - prospecting and fossicking is not permitted.

No research needed. You cannot prospect in the National Park that you were in.

Lake Eildon National Park - prospecting and fossicking is not permitted.

Just because some newspaper article says you can go dig does not mean it is yet law. As I said previously, the Minister has approved the changes. That is all. For these changes to be declared as law they have to go through the lower and upper houses of Parliament. The changes may not make it...

Lake Eildon National Park - prospecting and fossicking is not permitted.

Ahhhh, what "Newly Opened" National Park are you referring to here? To my knowledge there are NO NEW AREAs opened at this time. Nothing has been passed through Parliament, and no new access areas. There are proposed areas as per the VEAC investigation, and the Minister has approved them, but...

    Apologies...from me.

Yobs, may you find a painfree life whichever way you choose. Done the opiate thing for pain (legally) (permanent shoulder injury)and still got addicted and went to hell and back during withdrawal. Now on a different painkiller. Missed one the other day and went back to hell, so obviously...

    North East Creek

Yes it is, but remember that your Miners Right says you must repair any damage to the land arising from the search. Can I suggest that a 6x4 slab may be a little excessive!!! And very difficult to move back again.

    North East Creek

After a friendly visit from the rangers (2) last week and a conversation about damaging the creek you might want to be careful. The damage in one place by people digging into the bank is extremely bad and the rangers are looking for the persons doing the damage. Using any sort of equipment to...

    Manners in the bush.

Toecutta, he knew I was not impressed. Next time it will get ugly. I am sure he will be back.

    Manners in the bush.

No, I suggest that he was just a smart arse. I was gobsmacked when he called his mate to come in as well. If he had parked 20 metres away would not have been a problem, but drive through my camp, and park right next to it, that's a different story. He only had a pan, sieve and bucket and shovel...

I was pretty angry but managed to stay calm. Next time I will not be so nice....

    Manners in the bush.

Maybe I am getting old and senile but what the hell is going on with prospectors these days. I am camped out in the bush and a bloke comes down the track, right through the middle of my camp then pulls up leaving his 4x4 between me and the creek. I asked him where he was going as the track ended...

HARD ROCK MINING on a tight budget: (1)

Great info but a pretty simple message here. A thread titled Hard Rock mining on a tight budget. Not going to happen. Just the methods posted here require equipment, which costs thousands of dollars and their use is beyond anyone not trained. Before you even think of getting some of the...

    I Hate the Club Scene

Totally agree JeffP. I hate clubs too. Years back I was asked to take two people gem fossicking which I did. They never let on they were members of a large club. They then took the club members there and did so much damage that a local landowner successfully applied to have a fence and gate put...
