NSW Highbanking - what is the current state of play?

Haha, great reaponses and i feel better already. In particular Tathradj. yobskin, these guys had their feet up on my bull bar eyeing me - the only thing i could do was talk. It never fails. I think that the whole system has been a bit bruised by guys doing the wrong thing. The river itself bares...

NSW Highbanking - what is the current state of play?

Oh absolutely and conceded. Easy to get caught up in the pump doing what loop tho. So, for the time being, without a hibanker, ?panning? with a particular was in mind, has anyone got a method of speed reducing wash other than Hibankers which cannot be questioned? According to the inspectors, a...

NSW Highbanking - what is the current state of play?

Thanks gents for your support by way of swift and thorough response. I get that our interpretation of the law is that surface disturbance should be by pick and shovel and that the pump delivers water to the hi banker (miners act) which is a static system (gravity fed). Out of respect for my...

NSW Highbanking - what is the current state of play?

Well today was the day that we all never want to happen. Two fishing inspectors on the bank of the Peel River at Nundle letting me know that pump driven Hibankers are illegal. Can of worms yes but i really would like to talk with someone who can give me a definitive answer on what the legalities...

    Bilge pumps information and questions

As far as amounts of water are concerned, i found electric lead length and diameter to be ultra critical. i also found lay flat length to be important but less critical. i tie commons in the electrical as in +ve to +ve which is a parallel CCT and allows a newer battery to pull along a slightly...

    Bilge pumps information and questions

I run two by deep cycle 170Ah batteries on two 3700GPH Rule pumps (should be 7400GPH but actually is 5200GPH) which last in excess of 5hrs and leave the batteries half charged (check amp ratings on pumps as the advertised flow rates are not the only things that differ. I have both a Walbanker...

Terrorist Shot Dead After Stabbing 2 Cops

Interesting, I'm with Bazz. History dictates that it really isn't about religion. It has always been about men using the thin veil of religion to assert themselves in a manner which would generally be deemed inappropriate. When could it ever be "OK" in a person's mind that beheading someone with...

    G'day from another newbie

Nundle (which means place of the Brown Snake) is a favourite haunt for prospecting australia forum members. We are all very familiar with the art of jumping before we thought about it. I got bitten by a bigger black snake a while ago whilst i was catching bass on the macleay river near Kempsey...

    Hi everyone!

Best of luck with the Hi Banker Jonathon. There isn't much that beats working out where the Gold isn't (and by attrition where it IS!), then just working it. Wal's HiBanker plan is an awesome peice of kit for Gems if you happen to live somewhere close and can access a decent wash.
