    Hilux's finds

That's about what I used to get for mowing a half acre block with an old Victa! Nice finds!

They replied this time! Says they've got them in stock, so we'll probably get one tomorrow! 😀

    ORX in stock, Brisbane region

Emailed them a few weeks ago, no response 😞. I'll try them again.

    ORX in stock, Brisbane region

Anyone know of a stockist with ORX in stock? On the north side of Brisbane preferably, but willing to travel a reasonable distance. Looking for a unit with pinpointer, headphones and a couple of coil covers. Cash buyer. 😉

    Warning Order....

I had a quadruple bypass 5 years ago. Changed my diet and lost a chunk of weight (should've done that years ago). Had some issues with drug reactions and PTSD, but going OK. Then last year got diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (improper white cell production). If I'd known I would need my...

    Backpack Recommendation pls

60cm x 40cm. That's the size with it fairly well closed up. The bottom straps that cover the area where a sleeping bag traditionally went, has straps that extend enough to hold a 20 litre bucket on the outside. Any decent Army surplus shop will have a selection of clips to use for attachment...

    Backpack Recommendation pls

I use an army backpack, has heaps of room and about as comfortable as a pack can be. Cost $50 from Gumtree. Easily holds a couple of pans and a couple of classifying sieves, with external attachment points for all sorts of stuff.

Looking for an SUV that can handle corrugated roads.

    Making a video

You should check the video settings on your phone camera. Many are default set to take 4k video. The data this setting requires is huge. And when you consider that the great majority of screens are default set to HD, there's a lot of extraneous data floating around 😉. 4k is only really useful...

Hi Cazza, we might see you around the area. We're currently staying in Allora. Got a few things to get sorted, and then we'll be hitting some of the spots around here. :p

    Snakes around the house.

Check out https://www.facebook.com/groups/1842921039241229 FB group. You'll get real advice from people who really know their stuff. They have lots of info sheets about managing your property, dealing with snakes, teaching kids how to react around them etc.

Just knocked this mini sluice up. Opinions and advice welcomed and wanted

Looks like a good start. The matting might be the critical part, if it's too open or too tight. Should be well worth a trial. Let us know how it goes

Hi all. The missus and I are about to retire (Jan 23rd, but who's counting) and we're gearing up for the nomad/prospecting lifestyle while we can still walk & talk. :p Hope to get a bit of knowledge and tips from this group, and maybe be able to offer some help, too. Have done a bit of opal...
