Well I finally took the plunge & bought a CTX3030. Any one willing to share some programs or tips for it ? It would be greatly appreciated. Seems a little bit to get my head around. Might have to find a quiet spot to myself on the weekend to have a play. Thanks guys.

Some good points there guys that is for sure. How about in the rain will an e-trac handle some rain with a cover? The waterproof thing sort of worries me a bit. I like the coil option for the e-trac as well. Still am undecided. Probably a bit worried about spending all the money !

Hi everyone I am taking the family to Fiji at the end of the week for a holiday. I would like to take the 705 with me to do some beach detecting. Has anyone had any experience detecting over there ? Can anyone forsee any problems at the airport or in Fiji with laws or similar ? Thanks.

Hi everyone I am looking to upgrade from my Xterra 705 & am unsure which to get ? I like the waterproof of the ctx but think it may be to complicated & is it worth the extra coin ?? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Yea that's about all I could find on it. Website is gone as well. Looks like they weren't around for long. If it works might be ok to try it out I suppose. Could be a drama for parts if anything goes wrong though. I will go have a look & see what happens. Thanks.

Anyone ever heard of a metal detector by Auquest called a GD1000 ?? There is one for sale near me & could maybe pick it up for a few hundred dollars ! Or is it a waste of time? Thanks.

Nice collection of silvers. I am yet to find a silver & the only gold for me so far has been 1 & 2 dollar coins. I also am using an x-terra 705. I am hoping to one day find something worth enough to pay for a ctx3030. Good luck out there. thanks.

Looks a a good day. How do you go with other people in the parks around you. I am fairly new to this & find I feel a bit paranoid & if there is too many people I usually will leave the detector in the car. Am I just being silly or shouild I be careful ?

Good one ! My oldest is an 1888 Penny found in the local school yard. Pretty cruddy & tarnished though. Makes you wonder how they got there !!!
