Difference between Mono and DD coils? When to use?

Thanks for all the great feedback I have given them all a run to see what feels better and as you say they all have advantages and the country around here there is opportunities to use them all so I think my go to so far is the 17x11 and use the others where appropriate. Cheers Rod

Difference between Mono and DD coils? When to use?

The 1711 is spoked unfortunately. I have been using an equinox 800 coin/relic hunting for a while now so use to the coil style getting caught up regularly. Are there any advantages in running a smaller coil like the 128 or is it more a dis advantage re covering less ground.

Gold detecting in the pilbara W.A. what detector?

Cheers for the comments. I dont think the minister of finance will let me splash out on a 7000 maybe after I find a few pieces I may be able to. You can get a 4500 pretty cheap at the moment is it worth it or for the little extra is the 5000 a heap better unit.
