Hey everyone :) I finally got some time to myself yesterday and decided to go panning for gold ( no luck Im bad at it haha ) but.. I did find a lot of interesting stones, Im not sure Im hoping maybe topaz, sapphires and garnets, and a long shot diamond. Your opinions are most welcomed :) Thanks...

Hi guys, wondering if you might be able to give me an idea what these stones might be, the first one I fist discounted because I thought it was mica in it but after I cleaned it a Little it was the stones luster and the Little jet black ones I found in the bottom of a creek bed

Hey RDD yea I mainly find them on or close to the serface in the Adelaide hills, near and old track and creek bed :) also on the higher points in the hills aswell

I just tried to scratch them with a peice of quartz defiantly no scratch marks the quartz just put like powder lines on there which just wiped off, also tryed a steel nail, stainless steel knife and a drill bit no scratches....

Thanks LW, I took your advice but kinda hard to get correct temp when its 45c out here but surprisingly I took a few from my pile and they where still pretty cool to the touch on my lips even felt smidge icey in this stincker of a day lol

Hi everyone I was sorting through my bits and pieces bucket ( which I dont know what most are either lol ) and I came across this little guy. I was hoping one of you good folks might help :)

Thanks chris I was just sanded the corner of this one...A magnet is attracted to it, it doesnt feel like metal but if you hold it has the weight of metal ( I dont have digital scales ) oh and Im from Adelaide found them in the hills
