i can't post a link as yet but find QLD globe find add layers... type in abandoned mines add another layer... watercourse and pic a spot anywhere that suits. I'm just as new as you are but found a youtube film on how to find a prospecting location and this is pretty cool

so what is the general depth a detector reaches? i have worked out that smaller head goes deeper and finds smaller but how long is a piece of string?

im in the same boat MeatyJoe... could only find the monster 1000 and looks ok. but they don't provide much info so have the same questions as you.

I'm completely new to all this and would like to know whats the difference between an elevated sluice, sluice and high banker and can i use any of the before mentioned? and what process can i use them. could i pump water to a container and bucket out? can i only use a bucket to pour water...

could i just pump water to a container and then transfer with a bucket? can anyone else confirm it's just the "PUMP" targeted?
