    Non minelab detectors

I think at this point if it were minelab I'd be leaning more towards an sdc 2300 if I were to go a pi machine as the 4500 is usually quite a bit steeper in price and the 5000 or the gpz are Waaay Moreton I can afford. Either way, lots of food for thought, though I think I'll be avoiding the QED...

    Non minelab detectors

Hmm. Lots to go with. Guess minelab are popular for a good reason. If I had the funds I'd be trying everything under the sun. Guess that's why I don't have them! Thanks everyone.

    Non minelab detectors

Quite an informative article. Do these other companies have their own hardware or are they more of a copy of existing ideas that minelab came up with? And John, forgive me, but what's zvt compared with pulse induction or very low frequency? Is the gpz a zvt?

    Non minelab detectors

Hey guys, I'm after a bit of first hand experience as to other brands of metal detectors particularly for gold use. I'm curious about the tessoro logo supertrack with its lifetime warranty.. Or a garret of white? It's it that minelab are the best, or are they just the most popular/best...

CASTING: Television Show Seeks Fearless Treasure Hunters!

Sure I'll do it. As long as you don't need experience or for me to supply equipment that's younger than myself.

    Old VLF Coils?

Thanks Peter, I might see if I can call them tomorrow. It works well enough with the 10 inch but it fades quickly with a little height. I'm sure somethibg will show up though. :)

    Old VLF Coils?

Hey everyone, My ancient goldseekers 15000 arrived today, I'm planning to repair the broken plastic on the coolant was wondering if anyone could tell me which coil I could get for it as a replacement? It has a 10 inch superstar's coil already, but I wouldn't know if that's a mono or a DD. Any...

Exempt rivers and creeks Victoria - information and questions

I noticed that the Goulburn River is on the exempt list, but many of the titles go to the centre of the river. Is it still exempt to detect the river on the private property with the land owner's permission?

    Budget detectors

Thanks again marksman. That goldmonster1000 looks awesome. Good thinking HoudiniHarry, I might fo that when I've got a better idea of what I want to do. I never even thought of the local clubs.

    Budget detectors

Yep. Everything is a sales pitch when you look up the different detectors available, but if the eBay ones for 50 bucks were able to discriminate btwn gold and iron, surely there'd be no market for the 5 grand minelab machines. Tim's post has given me a good direction to go, research wise, I...

    Minelab Goldseeker 15,000

Thanks grubstake And yep, sure is Martin. I recon a little plastic welding should do the job. Ah, sounds good! So is VLF very low frequency? So do the smaller coils work better in the junk? What's the point of a big coil then.. And dual ones for that matter? Thanks, Joe
