Thanks all for the comments. The penny was about 3 inch's down and the hat/shoulder pin was about the same. All found at a local park, which is also a very old tip from my research .I'm using a x Terra 705.

Hi all, as I stated earlier I am new to detecting, but in the past 3 days of learning my machine ( xterra 705 ) I have found $43.70 at my local sports ground , so I decided to shout my shelf a few pints of guiness , and I must stay they taste great and only cost me a few hours in the park.
