Love this. I am happy swinging, panning and crevacing. Thing is you are spot on in that each is a very different part of the hobby, and each has its own rewards...other than the golden type. I guess I am like one of those guys with different types of motorcycles in the garage :playful:
Baz! My tools arrived. They are certainly a solid piece of hardware. Had quick scratch out in the backyard and can tell they will stand up to some real abuse. Very keen to get out and use these in the field. Nice work mate :Y:
Welcome mate. I hear your frustration. Maybe see if you can hook up with an experienced member to see how its done? Us novice types need to learn in the field off the 10% of prospectors who find 90% of the gold :)
Thanks Deepseeker. Sitting here reading and learning after a day swinging out around Chewton. In addition to a day outdoors with an old mate, a beer and pizza at the Shedshaker Brewery in Castlemaine topped it off :perfect:
With only a handful of trips to various places around the GT, I have begun a collection of different items that are not yellow. Finding relics and other objects is pretty fun. These are just a few and no doubt typical of finds...
Hi there! I am new to prospecting having tried both detecting and panning since April this year. I have found gold panning, but nothing with the detector.
A mate and I were talking about getting into prospecting earlier in the year. So, we got some gear and started trying out different areas...
