Speaking of camp chairs I was camped at Newnes in the last school holidays and a lady in the camp site across from us must of had issues with her chairs. All of a sudden we heard screaming and yelling and one after the other lost it with two camp chairs, dont know what type but they both ended...

Im a novice detecting as well enjoying my first time detecting for gold with my son. We are currently at Hillend and were out this morning detecting and ran into Balmain Bob and Craig. Bob told me to slow my swing down and that really helped with the noise I was getting. Thanks Bob for the tips...

Have made it to Hill End today and are staying at Glendora camp ground. We spent the last 2 nights on the edge of Daylight creek just up from the junction of Turpin creek in Sunny corner did some panning and exploring of the area. Both mornings at Sunny corner got down to -3 deg. Once we set up...

Hey Heatho, By adjusting the gain do you just mean adjusting the sensitivity or is there some way of adjusting gain. Thanks Terry.

Update done, nice and easy. I also havent had the Nox that long to know whether it will make a difference. Has anyone updated theirs and taken it out for a test run. :Y:

Hi Dave, Welcome to the forum cant help with tips as Im new to the hunt as well but I have found the people on this forum very helpful. I am also going to Sofala towards the end of September so will be reading your replys to hopefully find some tips on places to go myself. Happy Detecting Terry.

Today I bought some more gear for my trip to lightning ridge via Hillend etc. Got a set of new BF Goodrich tyres for the Prado. And also got a Minelab profind 35 pinpointer. Will have to go and test them out before I leave. :D

Thanks for the comments and yes I think I will stay with either the Husky or stihl just for repairs sake. Ive always looked at the cheaper ones but never thought about trying to get parts when something goes wrong.
