Ive had my TDI over 12 months now and having fun with it out in the gold fields with some small finds, got down to $$$$ for me and could not justify the GPX 5000 price . All gets down to choice and what you can afford at the time.

Hi RobinW, The more you detect the easier it gets, I spent a day with Gold Prospecting Australia up at Bendigo and found it worth while when learning to use a detector , even though they use Minelab equipment they spent half the day with my whites TDI

Took me 12 months befor I found my first nugget .5 but that was after I had a lesson on what to look and listen for up at Bendigo , made a difference. Must say if Matty84 does not want his pinky nuggets and wants to throw them back he can throw them my way.

Yep , great info, I think most of our wives think that way, mine gets bored after 1/2 an hour ( her view is that you have gotta find gold immediately )
