I like the idea of hunting through ghost towns but I am struggling to find the status of the land.. like private or crown land or historical. How do you guys go about this?
any of you lot still doing any of the creeks up this way? and if so any luck? would love some pointers so I dont have to re invent the wheel here! :cool:
Does anyone here keep an eye on the DEPI planned burns in the area? would be a good time to go out and look around if one was in the areas mentioned. 8)
Yes! I have spent alot of time already browsing maps, historical documents, and just about anything that has anything to do with the gold diggings of this area. The one thing that makes this area so much harder than the golden triangle is our thick undergrowth!!

I am fairly new at detecting. Been hitting beaches and a couple parks, but keen to find some of the yellow stuff! I am using a Minelab SDC2300. Pretty keen to get out and see what this area has to offer. I know its no golden triangle, but surely there is some stuff out here still!!
