Hi, As Ben78 says, for the GC1038, hold the pinpoint button down while turning the ground balance knob till it just goes silent.....that's it.....I have used it in the water, on wet sand without any problem, goes easily down to 8 inches, with out resetting,....recently found heaps on my local...

Hi Guys, You are going to think I have lost my mind, but I also own two of the Maxcon cheap detecters, had one for 15 months.....found heaps with it including rings, gold and silver, down to a depth of 8 inches or more on a coin....I have a test site at my place, and the Maxcon has no trouble...

Hi Guys, I know this is an old subject.....Jack Lange Gold Detecters, but I just had to say I have used the (Gold) cheap machine of Jack Lange.....and have found it to be amazing.....easy to set up.....easy to ground balance, I use it a lot on discrimination....just enough to exclude some bottle...
