    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

Been struggling to get time in for a swing since getting the 5k. After the maiden trip scored 3 tiny bits I figured I done something right with the settings. Then I had 2 short trips for donuts. Squeezed in a few hours today, enough of a result to say I'm fairly confident to continue tweaking...

    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

I was using the 12" evo... given the first time playing with settings I wasn't overly confident, but once I pinged the first bit and seen how small it was it did put my mind at ease a little.

    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

Maiden voyage with the 5000. Dunno if I should be impressed or disappointed... 0.06 was the smallest of the three. At least I know I got the settings purring ok

    The Boss Hog pan

Id have to agree with all of this... But i will go down the "brand hero" road and say if you like the boss hog pan you should have already had a garrett. My old man has a prospector pan that's 25years old and still perfect besides cosmetic wear. A couple of years ago he used my super sluice and...

    Garrett Gravity Trap Gold Pan?

Difference is the size and riffles, the prospector is 14" and has 3 relatively shallow riffles and the base is recessed (for lack of a better word) from the sides acting somewhat as a 4th riffle.the super sluice is 15" but can hold almost twice as much and process twice as fast in my opinion...

    Garrett Gravity Trap Gold Pan?

The Gold shop in Ballarat sells Garrett products. They definately have the pan kits, so I'm sure they will sell individual sizes. Good pans, but unless you want a small one for a specific reason I'd be investing in the prospector or super sluice... Not sure how long the super sluice (my...

Managed to tick a lil one off the bucket list.

Indeed it did ;) far too much for the two of us so we invited our 4 camping neighbours for a communal dinner, took a slab off it and donated the rest to the locals from the community (straight on the floor of their pajero, no eff's given about the blood mess)... I'm sure none was wasted and the...

Managed to tick a lil one off the bucket list.

I think it's just a rock.... (I hope, haha) plenty of salties there, was preying I didn't lose it to a croc during the fight, there was a 2.5m model and a smaller one that I knew of in the immediate area not more than 10min earlier.... And here was me just a fishing rod and a camera solo with...

Managed to tick a lil one off the bucket list.

Well a barra has always been on the bucket list so the rods were definately in for the trip and I was determined to atleast catch one.... Ok I fished in only 6 different locations and managed to catch barra at 5 of those, the one place I didn't catch a barra was an arm of Darwin Harbor whilst I...
