    Setting up the garage

I can't remember which reducer but pretty sure it's low as it's the same as I use on the irrigation system in the garden. Great idea with the bbq, I'm now going bugger as I just through one to the tip. I was thinking of keeping it but I have that much other junk I have to get rid of somethings.

    The black widow

Sounds good Lefty, if I was only going for a few weeks there would be no real point thinking about a claim. The only advantage I would be able to use a jackhammer but reckon there lots of spots the wash wouldn't need that. Is it easy to get water to wash gravel?

To cut or not to cut, black will be frosted. This design won't window except body. Also have a version where front wings are on the edge, should all meet point point from there.

    Looking for a cutter

    Sneaky Gems.

Just under $70 delivered, yes single ended but I reckon it'd be pretty easy to add a line driver chip. I think the 0.01 accuracy on others is probably +/- a bit, and I have read the ultratec uses gears  to transfer the angle to a potentiometer??. Other than the omni I suspect they all...

The more I use mine the better it's getting :) Best thing I've ever done in relation to faceting, the grief crappy chinese plated laps have caused me with scrathing I wish I did it earlier.

    The black widow

I've done a bit on the weld but mainly other creeks in the area. I got some blues on my last couple of trips, probably have about 15 sapphires to cut, not tiny but not huge. I use a 4mm sieve on the bottom so the tiny ones fall though. Have some pretty nice zircons from down here aswell, some of...

I didn't mate, I think we ran out of time and gave other places preference after I think from memory a club may have gone there before we would have. The year after we went to Harts Range and last year like this year went nowhere due to commitments involving the Kids/School.robots etc etc

You and me both Lefty lol, well not quite retirement the kids just need to get a bit older so I can escape. What's the go in the fossicking area up there Lefty, can you just fossick anywhere upto claim boundaries? I'm tempted to headup that way sometime, even back to Tomahawk Crk as good...

    Sneaky Gems.

Lefty, I've got one of Rough2cuts 800 sintered laps it's awesome. I'm coming straight of the 800 onto 100k on everything except sapphire :) Use 8000 prepolish on sapphire, have really been enjoying my faceting lately.

    Actually Building the Machine!

Instead of using laps you could use tools like on a concave faceting machine. Be a lot easier to setup and automate swapping between tools. I've been thinking of building a cnc mill myself though not as big as yours. Nice project :)

    please help identify these stones

The first one might be moonstone, I've got some from Moonstone Hill that looks similar, the rest is quartz imo.
