@madtuna Do you have access to a multi meter? Yes, it has continuity from all pieces of gold. for example: If touching Gold to Gold it makes a sound.

well I broke off a small size of quartz rock it is 131.13g on scales and the wet weight using the above dangling in water not touching sides etc give a weight of 111.04g so now need to work out gold in the broken off piece.
Settings for Minelab SDC:
RX dial: 1 (yellow tab)
LED's: 4 lights (smoothest setting)
I'm running a patch lead inserted into an audio DRC, then into a steel phase booster (filter 1) volume very soft with steel phase headphones.
Its a setup i would not recommend to new detector operators.

There is a white's detector shop in NSW the goldsearch website says there is one via their dealer page.
I don't really detect maybe i should if its going to be profitable.
