I have a 4500 with a 15 evo and I have found gold. But I know from trials with 2300, 5000 and 7000 with undug gold targets in the ground the others got signals I didnt.
If you have a 7000 do you really need a 2300 as well? Why?
I was recently told morning is best, then evening, and worst is middle of the day. Basically the more sun on the ground the worse. So having shadow improves things.
Any comments/experience?
Great post thanks. Im struggling to find anything but bullets and shot. I wonder if a new coil will help, or just confuse. Im just running the standard Command it came with. Thinking of a 14.
Have you had a look at the Bush Users Group on Facebook or Google? They holding rallies, lodging submissions and hopefully will have an effect in Victoria. Other states ... ???

Mostly around Whipstick at this stage. I figure better to learn 1 area really well. Joined bpc and found them great. I got the 4500 as people "said" with the new coils you can match a 2300 but have more options.
Has anyone bought the Avenza version of Doug Stones' Gold Atlas? Converting US$ to A$ they seem about the same price as paper. I bought a single map, was interesting to use but locations were offset by about 50m. Anyone else find this?
