@penndragon I've been told that Tiger Snakes love swampy areas, definitely not a snake I would like to bump into! Can I flick you a Pm about that area?

The ultimate way to get to your patch....

Yeah I've seen his videos! Would be awesome to have a chopper to fly around scouting good looking ground! There has been a few times i couldn't get to a spot because to bush was to thick! A chopper would have made it so much easier! maybe one day ill get to experience prospecting with a chopper!

Where do you detect in creeks?

I found my biggest piece in a wash that was in between two hills that produced gold. It was a rather flogged out area and it literally sounded like ground noise. Pays to dig a little deeper just in case! It was right before a bend in the wash. If you detect areas where water runs be prepared to...

    Letter for permission

lol I watch goldtalk all the time on YouTube. He's also given me good advice with patch hunting! I'm happy for the company to use my time and expenses as there own expenses for exploration and also letting them know what was found and where.

    Letter for permission

Hi WalnLiz I'll call first and see if I can have a chat and ask for permission before doing a 40E. I have always stuck to pending or open ground and defiantly don't want to be on the bad side of any mining companies, especially since I want to prospect as my part time job :) With some of the...

    Letter for permission

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has a standard letter that asks a company for permission to prospect on their Exploration tenements. Thought I might try and talk to a company and ask for permission before doing a 40E

    Mineral claims

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is finding the yellow shiny in this new season! 😊 So back in the late 1800-1900 when the old guys put down mineral claims, did they do this for gold and were these the equivalent to putting down a prospecting lease in this day and age? Cheers

    A can in a tree

Nope no coat hangers. They were stuck on the tree through the top opening of the cans.

    A can in a tree

They were all beer cans. From a few that had a slight bit of print left I could see they were old xxxx gold cans.

    A can in a tree

So was out in the goldfields this weekend and I came across a few areas that had a really old can in the tree. Could this possibly mean they might have found gold in that spot? I would have though once you find gold its like secret squirrel business and no one can know lol but a sun bleached can...

    Panning close to perth

After watching a fair few videos with youtubers panning for gold I want to try and give it a crack. Anyone know if we can do it close to Perth or is the land here all a no go until you hit UCL land? Wouldn't mind giving some dry panning a shot as well.

    GIS viewer for Windows GeoMap.WA

Hi mate not sure about live tracking with the geo website but I use a app called trilobite. Works great with apple, has live gps tracking and has quite a few features that the geoview website has. I'm thinking with using geoview on the iPad you would need the sim card type and have signal to be...
