I HATE HOT ROCKS!! the gpz cannot handle them as well at the 5000 or the 4500. They need to address this problem and hurry up and give us some better coils because the 5s and 45s are pretty equal with the elite coils I find

See that American Steve has put some settings up on detectorprospector site that I reckon would be good! I done my test with a 4oz piece at1 1/2 ft deep, extra deep worked best! Then I got a small piece and tested it, no difference between hy and ed. Thanks mbasko

I've gone to normal mode and extra deep, the difference is massive. Im finally finding gold so I'm happy i kept it and take back the complaining i did!!!

Is there a test you can do to check if your machine is work optimum? mine is very similar to my mates 4500 with an elite coil.

reckon i will go back to a 45 as i can find little difference and I've been trying since it release date! Tried nearly every setting that has been posted and still very similar to my mates with their 45s and 5s

got told today to try audio smoothing highl and sensitivity 16 to 18, has anyone else found this better? I'm finding that my mates with the 4 and 5s are getting greater depth!
